An amazing, ecological, bed and breakfast experience! Earthship Ironbank is Australia's first council-approved Earthship. It's an off-grid, self-sufficient home, perhaps the most sustainable and ecological housing concept in existence. It has solar panels and batteries to store electricity, solar hot water, rainwater tanks with pumps and sub-surface wastewater irrigation. It's made from many natural and recycled materials including car tyres filled with and rendered with earth. Other recycled materials include beer and wine bottles cut in half to make amazing bottle brick walls: a kaleidoscope of colour! Designed to accommodate two people this little bed and breakfast is nestled in a sunny tree-lined valley in the Adelaide Hills near a golf course, winery and bush walking tracks. Come and stay for a few nights! (2 night minimum is required)
