Piccadilly Valley Trail
Discover the Piccadilly wine sub-region of the Adelaide Hills. Visit these four iconic Piccadilly Valley wineries, purchase a bottle from each and collect a stamp to receive a complimentary set of two Riedel Pinot glasses.
Four of our favourite Hills wineries have teamed up to create the Piccadilly Valley Trail showcasing five iconic wineries in the Piccadilly Valley and offering visitors a great offer to sweeten the deal.
This picturesque sub-region specialises in the production of cool climate wines, particularly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with an added focus on premium sparkling wine production.
The Piccadilly Trail encompasses Lofty Valley Estate in Ashton, Wotton Family Wines in Uraidla, CRFT Wines in Carey Gully, Greenhill Wines Cellar Door & Cafe in Summertown and Tapanappa Wines in Piccadilly. Visit each of these four wineries and purchase a bottle of wine, collect all four stamps to receive a complimentary twin pack of Riedel Pinot glasses.
The trail of 19 kilometres by car could easily keep you busy for a day but a few deviations only add to the experience so don't miss other highlights of the Piccadilly Valley including Mount Lofty Botanic Garden (lower entrance), cherry picking and sales in season (December/January), Woodhouse Activity Centre for the kids, the new Brid Coffee Shop in Piccadilly and the township of Uraidla, home to The Uraidla Hotel (including brewery and The Tank wine cellar).
There's more than one day's worth of fun in this neck of the wood so consider staying locally to discover explore the attractions and hamlets of the Piccadilly Valley right on Adelaide's doorstep. Consider Mount Lofty House, Sequoia Lodge, The Crafers Hotel, Studio One apartment or Esto House B&B all in Crafers, or The Other House B&B in Piccadilly just out of Uraidla.
Don't worry if you can't manage to fit in the four wineries all on one day or weekend as the stamps don't expire - we wouldn't want you to rush and it's just a great reason to head back to the Hills to complete the trail! And you can complete the trail and collect glasses as your reward more than once.
